This is one of the best book of the series. I would recommend this book over the rest. The only one that comes close is the one that says Guitar on the front. Recommend fingerpicking in the sister edition of this series. I am a beginner and this one is a keeper for me. Well written.
This is an excellent manual. I purchased the Progessive Classical Guitar Method Book 1 by this same author and purchased this Manual to expand on Book 1. This is Book 2 of the Progressive Classical series that others seem to be waiting for. There are many more etudes and theory than in Book 1 yet does not assume any musical study – as the cover says it takes you from “Beginner to Professional” level. If you liked Jason Waldron’s first book this one is even better.
I have struggled with steel string acoustic and electric guitar for years. What a relief to be able to play beautiful music from notation and tab just after reading the first few chapters of this book.
I wish I had started with the classical guitar ten years ago. I wish I would have had this book at the time.

If you have an interest, buy a classical guitar and get this manual. It will give you an awesome start and save you tons of money.
I also plan on buying the Noad series based on reviews I have seen here at Amazon. com. Without an instructor, it would be good to approach the classical from different perspectives.
