This artist is the absolute epitome of a corporate marketing machine at work. Norah Jones is no different (and no better) than the average coffee shop singer/songwriter that you can find on a Friday night at the local coffee joint in your city. But. . . because she has big record industry backing (ie. money), a popular musician father, and most importantly. . . the good looks. . . she’s winning the Grammy’s. Pretty sad, that our musical tastes are not richer than this as we settle for whatever is shoved down our throats. And then, you add a cover of a Hank Williams Sr. tune?. . . well, that’s a no brainer. I am not a disgruntled musician trying to get my break. . . just an avid music fan, who is really disappointed in the state of the music industry and tastes of today. I’m also not an old fuddy-duddy who only has classical tastes. Or a teenager who’s mad at the world. But as an example, I have to say, Eminem’s latest c. d. was absolutely remarkable in originality, production, and design. . . . . and should receive much more positive attention than a bread and butter Norah any day. Or how about all of the the remarkable jazz recordings that hit the shelves this past year?Dig deeper people, you’ll be surprised at what you find. . .
this girl sounds too old, is just too young, and has meaningless music. Her music is something someone would kill themselves to, because it is just too damn depressing. she needs to come up with something slightly better, cuz for one thing, she’s ugly as hell, her voice is too thick, and she sounds like someone has just killed her and she’s gonna share her depression with all of us. thanks but no thanks, i’ll pass. too critically acclaimed, she’s not good yall. . . people need to see what real music is. . . and that is not norah jones. . . .

Honey, you have a LONG way to go before you can join Ashanti and Beyonce in the big leagues. You need to get a new sound or change your clothes or something because you are too DULL. Get some flava, girlfriend! This CD is just not working. Not feeling it at all.
