Having never picked p a guitar to actually learn how to play, I was playing the powerchords for the Blue progression in E by the first day. This is geared towards kids with though. I did also purchase Fender Presents: Getting Started on Electric Guitar -- A Guide for Beginners with Keith Wyatt but that was too fast for me having never done this before. The plan is to go through the Marxer Kennedy DVD first then to the Fender DVD and take it from there. Playing this on your PC vs TV is really easy. But again, this DVD is worth the price. Being in my early 40's as well, I'm really happy with the 'kids' version.
