This guitar course is an excellent resource for someone that is serious about learning to play the guitar.
This course is fantastic. I have seen a few other courses, but this one in terms of instruction clarity and production values is great. If you don’t want to learn music you may not like this, that being said this instructor had me understanding how to read very quickly. At first when he started out with the we are going to learn how to read music my heart sank, but then I was pleasantly surprised by the way he taught, I was truly getting what he was saying also there is a nice graphic layout accompanying him that clearly shows you what he’s talking about. The rest of this set is just as fantastic. I highly recommend this.
This course will teach you guitar when you don’t have the time to go to a real live teacher. It is made with a lot of passion and a true desire to teach. The DVDs are of very good quality and lead you from the very very early beginning into the journey of learning the instrument. You can see that Steve Krenz has years of experience teaching. With this course I can learn when I want, at a time that I prefer. Midnight, morning or afternoon.
It is very thorough en a bit ‘old school’ meaning you learn notes, staff, reading music and play. It contains jam along CDs which learned me to play guitar in a way I never thought was possible. I use the course everyday, and with increasing fun because I make true progress.
I started learning guitar from the esteban beginners course wich was more entertaining and fun. . you start learning songs imediately, but I found that I was lacking the fundamentals. I have friends who strum guitar, but can’t read music and have allot of fun, but their playing is quite limited. I think it is worth it to learn the basics and theory which is what this course does. It is not easy and it may be a while before you impress someone with your playing so I might reccommend doing another course as well so that you have some fun while getting through the dry first part of this course, but it is still well worth it to work your way through this one. It teaches you what you would learn in school without attending school. . . also when you go to school, in addition to the cost of school, you would still have to buy a text book which this course includes.
I have to say that my guitar playng has come a long way and this course has helped me allot.
This is a very thorough course which starts from the very beginning of mastering guitar. Steve Krenz is an excellent teacher and the DVDs are like you have a private teacher in your room. Steve Krenz covers every aspect of guitar playing. I was an absolute beginner and have started various other inthernet and distant learning packages. There is a lot of garbage on the market. This package is made with true love for the instrument and for teaching. In that sense I found the price a bargain considering that a private teacher would cost me a multitude of this. I am now 4 months underway and the course has brought me an enormous joy. I play when I want and that is the huge benefit. With this course you truly learn to play guitar, read tabs, read music and PLAY. Not without reason, this course is always listed in the top ranks of courses. This is the best course.
