Beginners Guitar Tip Number 1 – Don’t just play the guitar. Practice.
There is a great discrepancy between playing the guitar and practicing the guitar. Typically when we play, we are just amusing ourselves and in order to do that, most of us like to perform the things which we can perform moderately well.

On this list may be such things as, chord progressions and scales. You will subsequently note on a daily basis metronome speeds, etc. At the end of the week, you can examine your progress.

Here is how you may use this technique. For example, if you are having trouble changing rapidly from a G7 chord to a D chord, the first thing to do is set a metronome at the tempo where you feel at ease playing the chords. Then settle on your target. Each day make a note indicating your metronome speed. You will then be able to examine your development. It is very satisfying to observe your metronome tempo gradually increasing.

I just recieved this product, but honestly, I saw it was a good kit instantly.  It was not what I was expecting but it serves it’s purpose.  I was contemplating purchasing the Austin Bazaar 38″ Black Cutaway Guitar with Carrying Bag and Accessories for only $40 but after reading the negative reviews, I made a decision against it.  Plus, it’s plain they just desire to get rid of them and make quick cash rather than really selling a quality product.  I mean, I would prefer to pay a touch more ( I paid $94 on Amazon ) for a QUALITY guitar than forty bucks for something that may fall apart in two weeks.  The guitar itself is extremely nice – excellent quality, beautiful wood and professional looking.  It’s obvious Kona knows guitars.  The only downside is that it doesn’t come with additional strings, a stand or a strap, but truly that isn’t going to cost more than $20 to purchase.  Plus, the book is great – funny, straightforward and the pictures are very useful, and the CD helps too.  So make a choice – if your truly serious about playing, than pay a touch more for a quality product.
