While you’re learning to play guitar, it is all to simple to get mired in a groove of utilizing just one style. Whilst this is plenty of fun, it won’t help you grow as a musician very much, and could open the way to you becoming rather restricted as a guitarist.

As a metal guitar player, back when I started learning to play guitar I naturally moved towards towards the lightning fast axemen around at that time, but that started to restrict the sort of licks and riffs I was able to play, and I discovered that learning to play guitar was about more than just following your heroes.

The key to moving yourself forwards as a musician is to be sure you experiment with some different genres which will fit well with those that you arealready acquainted with. For hard rock and metal guitarists, good styles of music to check out would be the blues and classical music.

Blues playing and classical guitar feature a lot of the methods which finished up creating the metal and hard rock sounds of right now, and studying these genres will in turn add another dimension to your own music. The key’s to never limit yourself when Learning To Play Guitar. Limiting the styles you learn limits your development, and the last thing you would like is to get stuck playing the same thing again and again again without any room to grow and create better music.

The fundamentals of each genre could take asmall getting familiar with, but the results on your own skills will be tough to ignore. Guitarists you could check out would include stars like Yngwie Malmsteen (for the classical influences), Michael Lee Firkins (for country influences) or Ritchie Kotzen (for blues influences).

Try out examples of country music or bluegrass, or ska. Look into any guitar music that is a little beyond your own area along with your own individual inspiration sources. Not only will you evolve into a much more balanced guitarist, but playing around with these other genres could help Learning To Play Guitar be a great deal more enjoyable and lots more gratifying.

I Never Thought I Could Learn Guitar So Easy

August 6, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

I never dreamed the the words “learn guitar easy” could every be put together, it does not even sound right but if I had known that I would learn guitar as easy as I did, I would have done it years ago. But like with other things that we admire, I assumed that because I was such as fan, it would have to be hard, and that there was no way that I was coordinated enough to do it. Now, I’m not saying I’m Slash or Eric Clapton or anything, but I am very happy that I could learn guitar so easy.

Another thing that I was amazed at was, besides that I could learn guitar as easy as I did, that I learned it so fast. I had looked into lessons from a guitar instructor at a local music school, and he told me it would be about a year of lessons before I could play anything really recognizable, and especially that long before I would become proficient at it.

Of course, I’m all about the instant gratification, and that was way to long for me to wait. I don’t need to be the best guitar player ever, but I wanted to learn guitar easy enough to be able to muddle my way through songs with friends. Well, I ended up learning guitar so easy that I’m now confident enough to get up with my friends at a local jam nite at our neighborhood bar. And I don’t sound half bad, if I do say so myself.

So if you’ve always wanted to play the guitar, but are too intimidated ñ you think you’re not musical enough, don’t know how to read music, or aren’t coordinated enough, I encourage you to try it anyway. If I can learn guitar this easy, so can you. Trust me, I’m not an inherently musically talented sort of person, Iím just a person who likes music and always wanted to be able to play the guitar. Probably a lot like you.

Since I never thought I could learn guitar so easy, and now I have, you’ve got no excuse as to why you shouldn’t do it yourself. And pretty soon, you’ll be saying to your friends, just like I did, ìI had no idea I could learn guitar so easy!

I’ll see you at jam nite, fellow guitar player.
