I know I was excited when I too that final step and actually decided to just do it already! But before you get too carried away with your visions of becoming a rock star after learning to play guitar, you need to keep a few things in mind.

When you’re learning to play guitar, you want to go strait to the end and you want to start jamming with a band or singing along. But the reality is that you’ll need to do a lot of work by yourself before you’re good enough to do that. Most people don’t realize it, but for the beginning who is just learning to play guitar, trying to keep rhythm with other instruments, or to sing and play at the same time can actually be quite difficult.
